JOB PURPOSE: The Parent, Family and Community Engagement Manager ensures that family services delivery reflects the mission and vision of the Central Kentucky Community Action Council early childhood education program and is in compliance with ERSEA and local, state, and federal regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  •  Knowledge and expertise result in continuous improvement of efficient and effective family services, including ERSEA.
  • The Parent, Family and Community Engagement Manager consistently fulfills the responsibilities of quality services to families.
  • Ensures the collection, analysis, organization, and reporting of accurate information to the appropriate staff or entity.
  • Leads, coordinates and assists in the creation and distribution of resources to the appropriate staff.
  • Monitors to ensure family services, including ERSEA, comply with all local, state and federal regulations, performance standards and policies and procedures.
  • Collaborates to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of program service delivery.
  • Possesses knowledge of assigned technology systems to ensure data integrity.
  • Plans and develops activities designed to improve and enhance program quality.
  • Effectively leads by exemplifying the vision and the mission of the program.
  • Develops, amends and implements family services policies, including ERSEA.
  • Ensures the program operates in a legal, ethical manner, and in accordance with the program and agency mission and all applicable laws and regulations in the realm of family services, including ERSEA.
  • Ensures quality services are provided by knowledgeable, prepared staff.
  • Ensures resources are maximized resulting in comprehensive services to children and families.
  • Ensures services are delivered based on the greatest need of each community in the service area.
  • Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must pass all required background checks.
  • Must possess or be willing to obtain a valid First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position which includes: ability to lift/manipulate/move objects weighing no more than 20 pounds from one place to another, ability to lift objects from the floor to 18” above the shoulder, vision sufficiently correctable to permit full performance of all job duties, ability to drive or provide transportation for required travel in specific county, counties, or service area, wide range of mobility including walking, running, climbing, sitting, stooping, bending, and carrying necessary materials to perform planning, preparation, classroom activities, and possible evacuation in emergencies, physically able to perform with degree of dexterity such clerical functions as filing, labeling, stamping, stapling, and writing, must be able to bend/squat in order to file, must be able to sit for long periods of time.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work. Human/Family Services or a related field and minimum of 1 year of program management experience.
